Privacy policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This policy explains what information Effina (effina.org) collects, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, contact us.

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. When you sign up for our newsletter, the form collects the details it asks for, usually your name and email address. We use this information to reply to you, send the newsletter you asked for, and keep a record of correspondence. We don't sell it.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server records basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page and time of visit. We use these logs to keep the site running, fix errors and prevent abuse.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Effina itself uses very few. The third-party services described below may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features such as ads may behave differently.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers use the site, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes data under Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies.

Advertising

We show display ads through Revive Adserver, served from servedby.revive-adserver.net. The ad server may use cookies or similar technology to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same one, and count impressions and clicks. Advertisers don't receive your contact details from us.

Newsletter provider

Our newsletter signup form is provided by a third-party CRM and is loaded from link.sphere-crm.com. Information you enter in that form is processed by that provider on our behalf to manage the mailing list. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.

Headlines and links to other sites

Some pages show headlines from other publishers' public RSS feeds. Our own server fetches those feeds, so your browser doesn't contact those publishers until you click a link. Once you leave Effina, the other site's privacy policy applies.

How long we keep information

We keep contact messages as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period after. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. If you're in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for using those rights. We don't sell personal information. If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal bases are your consent (newsletter), our legitimate interests (running and securing the site) and responding to requests you make. To use any of these rights, contact us and we'll respond within the time the law requires.

Children

Effina is written for adults running businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
